Welcome to FarmAds Auctions

FarmAds Auctions is a new online platform built for farmers and agricultural businesses across the UK. Created by the trusted FarmAds and Farmers Guide brands, it offers a simple, transparent and safe way to buy and sell farm machinery with confidence.

It’s free for sellers – no listing fees or commission – and buyers pay only a 7% +VAT fee. From smaller items like ploughs, cultivators, weights and wheels, through to tractors and larger machinery, FarmAds Auctions is designed to keep costs low and put farmers first.

We’ll only be running a few bespoke auctions each year, so submit your items straight away to be included in our very first auction.

Can I have help selling?

Absolutely yes. It’s in our interest for your item to get the most bids possible; that means we’ll work with you to make sure your listing is as good as it can be.

Depending on the product you are selling, it might involve us organising a photographer to come and get the best images, plus one of our journalists to write the listing. Get in touch and we can talk you through the options step by step.

How much does it cost?

Selling your items is free, with the buyer paying just 7% +VAT commission on the hammer price. The fee is kept as low as possible to ensure our sellers get the best price for their machinery.

I already have a FarmAds account, do I need an auction account?

Yes, our auctions are on a separate system which requires you to set up a new account.

How do I list my items?

To list an item in the auction, you need to fill in the above form. We’ll be in touch with the next steps.

It’s very easy, but we do need to perform some security and identity checks, as well as ensure that the listing has all the details that a potential buyer could want.

How do I buy?

First you need to sign up to have a new account with our FarmAds Auctions, which will require you confirming your identity for security purposes. This will only be possible once the auction begins.

Once approved, you’ll be able to bid on any items in our auction. Please be aware though, winning bids are binding.
