Established in 1991 by Richard Firby, J R Firby is a family-run business based in Slingsby, North Yorkshire.

As an agricultural machinery dealership and hire company, J R Firby specialises in supplying used tractors, combines, telehandlers and all other types of agricultural plant and machinery directly to customers.

Having farmed for all of his life, owner Richard has a significant amount of experience using a wide range of machines, and as such he understands what is expected of them.

The team at J R Firby tests as many of the used machines on the family farm as possible, to ensure that they function as required and also to give them as much user knowledge about the machines as possible – ensuring an excellent sales and after sales service.
